A Government Utility responsible for supply of Electrical Power and Water includes generation, transmission and distribution in the city of Dubai and its suburbs invites applications for the following positions to be recruited immediately. They are looking for the following candidates:

1. Engineer - Hydraulic System Ref.No. OM-W/R171/05

Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering

Minimum 4 years experience in designing and evaluating Water Network and Utility System. Must have theoretical and practical knowledge in fluid mechanics, hydraulic (water) system analysis and calculations. Candidates will be able to provide technical assistance in support of operation and maintenance activities, assist operations to review key system parameters and evaluate water network performance. Must be able to evaluate water network development, demand forecasting to verify against Project Department. Must have knowledge in using the latest version of Hydraulic Analysis and AutoCAD software.

2.Assistant Engineer - Operation Ref.No. OM-W/R155/05

Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Minimum 5 years work experience in operation of Water Network, Desalination/ Power Plants, DCS/ SCADA. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Dubai Water Network (Transmission and Distribution), operation of all pumping stations, reservoirs and other water station facilities. To analyze equipment failures in relation to operating procedures, and to provide recommendations/ solutions to the cause of failures. Issuance of equipment/line clearance to other sections/Units, contractors prior to carrying out any modifications, maintenance, and repair works in the Transmission and Distribution Network pumping stations and reservoirs Preparation of work orders for faulty equipment, control gears, instruments and auxiliary equipment in the pumping stations, reservoirs and Transmission Network. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget requisitions for operational purposes. The applicant must have control room operation experience and computer literate.

3. Assistant Supervisor – Water Network - Ref.No. OM-W/233/05

Trade Certificate

Minimum 3 years experience with Water Network and utilities. Must have knowledge on water valve operation, water network analysis for planned and emergency pipeline shutdowns and safety. Must have the ability to work with minimum supervision and coordination with the team. Willing to work in shift duty and extended hours as required
