01.
Assistant
Engr (Trans) - Ref: MNT/136/04
Degree in Electrical Engineering |
| Minimum 10 years experience in Maintenance, Erection,
testing and commissioning of 400/132kv GIS
in a utility or a manufacturer of GIS or
Contractor of repute. Hands on experience
in GIS are preferred. Maintenance of 400/132kv
Gas Insulated Switchgear and supervision
of contractor works. Planning and scheduling
maintenance activities and procurement of
necessary spares. Independent troubleshooting
and handling emergencies. Verification of
various contractual drawings applicable
to 400/132kv GIS. Preparation of tender
specification and evaluation of tender documents.
Should have received extensive training
at manufacturers work in maintenance/ assembly
of GIS. Computer literate and knowledge
about quality system. |

Diploma in Electrical Engineering |
Minimum
10 years experience in relevant field. Assisting
section head and organizing work. Checking
and Testing Power and Pilot Cables and Project
activities. Checking all abnormalities in
Cable System. Analysis and Arranging for
repairing-cable fault locating and repairing.
Preparing Annual Maintenance Schedule. Maintaining
all Equipment, tools and spares. Checking
all daily activities. Updating and up keeping
documentation. Supervision of 132kv Cable
related activities and doing office work. |

Assistant
Engr (Commissioning) - Ref: MNT/138/04
Degree
in Electrical Engineering |
| Minimum
10 years experience in relevant field. To
ensure system relaibility by maintenance/
attending Protection Metering. And commissioning
work in DEWA Power System Network. Checking
of protection scheme and protection drawings
submitted by the contractor and prepares
comments. Scrutiny of protection report
and prepare comments. Commissioning of high
voltage protection equipment and metering
circuits. Inspection of protection of protection
and metering equipment at site and factory.
Attending emergency and co-ordinate the
work whenever necessary, attend all sectional
routine works stores, procurement of spares,
staff control etc. Preparation of tender
documents and evaluation of the protection
equipments. Supervise the installation and
commissioning activites at site. Investigation
of protection tripping and carryout troubleshooting.
Preparation of abnormality report. Testing
and supervision of all type of relays in
400/132/33/11kv system. Pilot cable related
activities. Overall supervision of the maintenance
and commissioning activities regarding substation
protection equipment. The applicant should
have training of Safety/Computer and Quality
Procedure. |

Technician - Ref: MNT/139/04
Diploma/ Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering |
| Minimum 8 years experience in relevant field. Attending
all routine maintenance/ repairs of 132kv
cables. Daily cable route patrolling. Attending
cable testing and repairing. Maintenance
all equipment, tools and spares. Office
work such as daily report, daily program,
and store related works, oil pressure graph
making. The applicants should be fluent
in English (speak/write), and basic in computer
knowledge and aware of safety knowledge.
Candidates should provide the necessary
release/ NOC from their current Employers/
Sponsors at the time of submitting application. |

Engineer (Distribution) - Ref: MNT/140/04
Degree
in Electrical Engineering |
Minimum
10 years experience in Electricity Distribution
System Maintenence. To ensure system reliability
by maintaining/ attending Distribution Equipment
in the company. Lead the team for the planning
and implementation of maintenance activities
and administer all day to day activities
of the section. Report all the incidents
and suggest course of actions/corrective
steps etc. to be implemented. Prepare/review
and make final recommendation on all routine
papers/ correspondance. Make proposal for
improvement/development of projects/ procedures
etc. maintenance equipment and spare purchases
of the section. Improve the proformance
of the staff by planning technical discussions,
and participation in seminars. Keeping the
check on preparation and implementation
of work and safety procedures. Occasional
visits to the sites to check on the safe
maintenance practices of maintenance staff.
Overall supervision of the maintenance activities
regarding distribution substation equipment.
The applicant should be good in writing
skills of Techinical specification reports,
having good knowledge of the international
Standards, basic computer and safety knowledge. |

Engineer
(Overhead Lines) - Ref: MNT/141/04
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering |
| Minimum 15 years of experience in the relevant
field. Engineering assistance to OHL and
related project works and supervision of
field activities. Attend meeting for Project/
Maintenance works, etc. and checking drawings
design/ specifications and comments for
Projects Department. Improve/ update all
Sectional records and coordinate with other
Sections/ Depts. Check all daily reports
received from supervisors on field activities
of project works. Site visit for different
projects, transmission line construction
and associated work, etc. Prepare technical
report inquiries from other departments/
section and attend to all sorts of correspondences.
Budgeting and preparing for management approval
for major purchase technical evaluation,
follow-up, working on strategic plan, ISO,
etc. rated to the section. The applicant
should have training in plan, design and
supervision of construction and maintenance
of transmission and Distribution overhead
lines and associated works. The applicant
should have writing skill of technical specification
and reports, good knowledge of the international
standards (IEC), basic computer knowledge,
should be proficient in English (spoken
and written). |

degasifier plant. Checking vehicle maintenance
schedule. Office work such as daily report,
daily program, and store related works,
oil pressure graph making. Supervision of
maintenance activities. The applicant should
be fluency in English (speak& write)
and should have basic computer and safety
knowledge. |

Minimum
5 years experience in maintenance of 33/11-6.6kv
and 11/0.4kv substation equipment in a reputed
utility organization. Maintenance of 33/11-6.6kv
and 11/6.6-0.4kv substation equipment by
applying DEWA Quality Procedures and Safety
practices. Carry out and supervise maintenance
of 33/11-6.6kv and 11-0.4kv substation equipment
such as transformers, switchgear, ring main
unit, low voltage distribution board etc.
in line with prescribed quality procedures.
Handling emergency breakdown complaints,
trouble shooting and fault shooting and
fault rectification regarding the above
mentioned substation equipment. Good knowledge
of safety requirements for attending maintenance
at substation. To have the ability to handle
and supervise a group of technicians by
applying all safety practices and quality
procedures. The applicant should have training
in relevant field. Should have the ability
to write technical specification reports,
having good knowledge of the International
Standards and the basic computer knowledge,
proficiency in English (spoken and written). |

with Digital Control System applicable to
GIS. To attend to routine / emergency maintenance
in 132kv substation for GIS and in control
circuits associated with 132kv Gas insulated
Switchgear. To attend to routine and emergency
maintenance in 132kv GIS and associated
control circuits including Digital Control
System. To maintain special equipment and
test instruments associated with GIS maintenance
and testing, to witness testing and commissioning
of 132kv GIS. To carryout various condition
monitoring test on GIS. The applicants should
have basic computer and Safety knowledge,
proficiency in English (speaken & written).
Training in a manufacturer’s works in GIS
preferred. |

substation equipment (preventive as well
as breakdown maintenance) such as transformers,
switchgears, ring main units, low voltage
distribution boards, DC system etc. Wiring
of control panel, DC circuit (Battery and
charger) etc. The applicants should have
Safety knowledge. |

8 years experience in relevant field. 33/11/6.6kv
line construction, PMT installation, routine,
preventive and emergency maintenance related
work. Carryout 33/11-6.6kv line related
job reliably and confidently as per DEWA
Quality Policy. Organizing groups to carryout
schedule emergency work. Execution of job
order works – site inspection, making requisition,
etc. Coordination with other department,
supervision, etc. Maintenance works – preparation
of outage schedule, making requisition,
recording OHL defects, programming of distribution
work etc. Emergency attending works – Coordinating
with System Operation Department and staff
etc. Implementation of safety procedure
to working groups. Overall maintenance and
construction activities of different groups/
contractors and ensuring reliable performance.
The applicants should have computer and
safety knowledge. |

carryout the maintenance of 400/132/33kv
OHL related job as well as to ensure safe
and reliable performance of OHL as per DEWA
Quality Policy. Preparing and coordinating
different crew groups to carryout regular
maintenance and project activities of 400/132/33kv
OHL. Supervision of OHL patrolling works
and outsiders project works near the OHL.
Receiving outage/ caution permits for OHL
maintenance and project works. Attending
emergency and reporting to the supervisor.
Inspecting safety at the work site. Overall
supervision of different groups new line
construction job and ensure reliable program.
The applicants should have basic in computer
knowledge and proficiency in English (spoken
