A Government Utility responsible for supply of Electrical Power and Water includes generation, transmission and distribution in the city of Dubai and its suburbs invites applications for the following positions to be recruited immediately. They are looking for the following candidates:

5 to 8 years of experience. Shall independently carryout termination and jointing works on medium voltage (6.6 / 11 and 33 KV) cables. Applicant should have good knowledge on the construction details of XLPE and PILC power cables and 33 kV pilot cable and should have thorough hands on experience in different types Jointing and Termination techniques employed in heat shrink, cold shrink, pre-mould type etc. Should have knowledge on Electrical Safety practices to be employed while working in medium voltage cables. Should be willing to work in shifts and round the clock call duty.

10 years of experience in FPS system. Experience in repair & maintenance of fire alarm control panel, fire alarm devices, fire water electric pump and Jockey pump controller, fire water diesel pump controller, Trouble shooting of fire alarm system and knowledge in Software programming of analogue addressable fire detection and alarm system is a must.

5/8 years experience as a testing/supervising person with a substation contractor or consultant / utility in testing and commissioning of 400 / 132 kV GIS, 11 kV & 0.4 kV Switchgears, snag rectification works during warranty period and emergency works related to Switchgears and general substation equipment of 400/132 /11 kV Substations. Must be familiar with Electrical Scheme drawings and test equipment. Should have computer knowledge, familiar with safety practices and proficiency in English (spoken and written).

10/15 years experience, in assembly / overhauling of On Load Tap Changers of Power Transformers. The incumbent shall be responsible for supervising / carrying out periodic inspection and overhauling of On Load Tap Changers and also for training his subordinate staff. The candidate should have hands on experience in assembly / overhauling of On Load Tap Changers of prominent makes like MR, ABB etc. and shall be capable of taking corrective actions independently. Also, he must have flair for repairing / re-assembling of mechanical equipment / machines. (Preference will be given to those who have working experience in a Tap Changer manufacturing industry). Possession of UAE driving license and knowledge of computer applications preferred.

5/10 Years experience in EHV substation testing and commissioning with an utility/ consultant/turnkey contractor. Shall be familiar with Testing and Commissioning of switchgears in EHV substations. Shall be capable of working as witnessing engineer for EHV substation SWGR testing. Shall be able to supervise erection, testing & commissioning activities of EHV substation equipment such as GIS, Transformer, MV/LV switchgears, etc. Literacy in computer.

5 years experience in erection, commissioning and maintenance of substation equipments of 132kV or 400kV substation. He shall be conversant with control circuit of High Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear, Low Voltage AC Supply, Air Compressors, Diesel Generator sets, Transformers, Substation lighting etc. Knowledge of safety, computer knowledge etc will be an added advantage.

5 years experience in a reputed utility /construction or process Industry in the relevant field. Thorough knowledge in the maintenance of substation equipments like transformers, circuit breakers, control panels, wiring of electrical installations, LV cable laying and termination, trouble shooting of electrical equipments, experience in Medium voltage cable etc. Should be able to understand electrical circuit drawings and carry out jobs with minimum supervision. Should be willing to work in shifts and round the clock call duty.

10 years of experience in Fire protection system. Experience in repair & maintenance of deluge valves, fire pumps and diesel engine, compressor & pressure tanks, instrumentation e.g. pressure switch, flow switch, flow meter etc. Knowledge of safety, computer knowledge etc will be an added advantage.

10 years of experience in repair maintenance and troubleshooting of firewater pump engine & fire pumps.
