Minimum Education and Experience Requirement
University Degree in Electrical Engineering field with Ten(10) years of related experience OR
Master Degree in Electrical Engineering with Seven (7) years of related experience.
Skills
Excellent knowledge of design, application & testing of Protective Relaying
Good knowledge of micro processor based protective relays
Very good computer skills
Good knowledge of engineering software
Good communication skills
Good standard of spoken & written English language
Duties & Responsibilities
Job holder is responsible for performing area wide engineering functions for protection of electrical equipment (Generators, Transformers, Motors, AC/DC distribution systems, etc) and providing technical support and engineering expertise to power plants in the region.
Conduct protection coordination studies, review relay settings & recommend modification and upgrading.
Prepare scope of works and evaluate technically submittals.
Analyze trips, faults & upsets, investigate and recommend solutions.
