| Power Plant Operator (Steam/combined Power Plant) |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirement • Diploma in mechanical /electrical technology with at least seven (7) years of related field experience. OR • Technical College Certificate in mechanical/electrical technology with ten (10) years of related field experience. Skills: • Good knowledge of operating steam turbine generating units, boilers, condensers and associated auxiliaries • Good understanding of unit and plant control systems. • Good computer skills. • Good standard of English language. Duties & Responsibilities • Responsible for monitoring and controlling large steam /combined cycle power plant generating units & associated auxiliary equipment. • Diagnose and resolve day-to-day operational problems and handle all type of operation emergencies. • Perform high/medium voltage switching operations. • Prepare work orders and daily operation report for generating units.
