Minimum Education and Experience Requirement
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7-10 years of experience in large steam power plant
Duties & Responsibilities
The incumbent will be required to have technical knowledge and expertise in the maintenance, design and plant engineering functions related to large steam power plant equipments, such as boilers, turbines and their auxiliary systems. Core duties include:
- Performing engineering studies for plant modifications to improve reliability, performance, maintenance ease and standardization
- Plan, schedule and coordinate plant T&Is for rotating and stationary equipments to ensure reliable plant operation between turnarounds
- Develop maintenance procedures for quality assurance and standardization.
- Monitoring and trouble shooting of power plant rotating equipment
- Budgeting and cost control studies
- Technical support to operations for safe, reliable and efficient power generation.
The position requires the management of the human resources of the work group including mentoring and coaching of lower level engineers.
Exposure to power plant project engineering functions will be considered as added advantage.
