Coordinate and
participate in the participation in the implementation of new/modified company's
(SAP) Business Information Systems. Implements approved projects and follows up
until satisfactory completion. Assists users in all systems implementation and
performs system support and ensures system availability to the users.
2. WORK
PERFORMED
2.1 Identifies requirements and new opportunities for the Company (SAP) Business
Information Systems, Business process and computer - based technology to be
presented to Section Head with technical justifications for adoption.
2.2 Participates in the implementation of SAP, Business Applications and
advanced technology projects, including scope of work, tender documents,
construction and commissioning. Ensuring the adaptation of such projects to
company specifications.
2.3 Prepares as/when assigned with Operating Center's SAP hardware and/or
software requirements related to company annual budgets and procurement
specifications. Develops formats for user-friendly menus for SAP system and
applications. Plans and performs application upgrade on behalf of users.
2.4 Participates in the implementation of approved major information related
projects with Projects Division. Includes reviewing SOP, design criteria, scope
of work, etc., advising on selection of consultant, hardware, software and other
resources required for operation.
2.5 Analyze the requirement for application of business information environments
for SAP system to ensure the highest availability of services. Assist in
defining and solving complex problems.
2.6 Analyze and monitors SAP system performance across the network and plans the
necessary modification if required to ensure high grade of services. Also
defines the traffic patterns for forecasting the future requirements.
2.7 Recommends and implements computer procedures and related manuals for SAP
system. Includes establishing periodic back-up procedures, defining back-up
requirements and following file-store management procedures to ensure security
and integrity of computer files/databases. Checks systems utilization
periodically to ensure system availability.
2.8 Participates in investigative studies aimed at developing new Business
Information systems, improving current systems or solving related complex
problems that may arise prior to during or after systems implementation.
Includes analyzing users' requirements, evaluating current systems and proposing
systems modifications or new designs to enhance functionality or meet new
company business function requirements.
2.9 Identifies training needs for, and participates in actual training of,
concerned personnel to upgrade their capabilities in the area of SAP systems.
2.10 Performs other similar or related duties, as assigned includes checking
contracts contractors' reports, etc. and commenting as appropriated; liaising
with all concerned groups for software / hardware / project coordination and
implementation methods; keeping abreast of ad evaluating latest technology in
the field for possible adoption as well as to cater for multi-vendor computer
environment within the Company. etc. Represents, if required, BOROUGE in
carrying out factory and site acceptance tests to ensure conformity with
specifications.
3. WORK
CONTACTS
Frequent contacts with various colleagues in the Division, and with employees up
to Department Manager level in Operating Centres, Projects, outside consultants,
contractors and vendors.

INDEPENDENCE OF OPERATION
Reports to Application Development & Support Department manager. Works
independently in researching and developing new products and solutions,
assessing their viability and coordinating project implementation according to
Company policies, procedures and specialized professional standards.

None.
6. WORK
ENVIRONMENT
Exposed to eye strain due to computer operation for abut 80% to 95% of the
work-time. Normally A/c environment, with occassional site visits.
7. MINIMUM
REQUIREMENTS
7.1 B.Sc. Degree Computer Science or equivalent, followed by a total of 6 months
professional training courses.
7.2 6 years experience in information and advanced technology computer
applications involving SAP specific module of SAP basis.
7.3 Good knowledge of English.
SALARY &
BENEFITS
1. MONTHLY
ENTITLEMENTS:
Basic Salary :
Ranges from (UAE Dirhams) Dh. 7600/- up to Dh. 10100/- per month, negotiable
depending on experience & qualifications.
Supplementary
Allowance : Dh. 2000/-.
Overtime
: Not applicable for senior jobs.
2. ANNUAL

Accommodation
: High standard accommodation. The size of accommodation will be
according to the family status and number of children.

Insurance : For employee, his wife & eligible children.
Annual Leave
: Employee is entitled for 38 days (calendar days) paid annual leave.
Air Ticket/s
: One annual economy return ticket to be provided, for employee to his
point of origin plus ticket for his wife and for up to four (4) eligible
children.
Educational
Assistance : The company pays 70% of the actual cost of schoold fees
(registration, tuition & text book) for up to 3 eligible children (Grade 1
to 12). However, the maximum amount the company will pay is Dh. 10000/- per year
for every child.
3. OTHER
BENEFITS & ALLOWANCES
Furniture
Purchase Allowance : Ranges from Dh. 25000/- up to Dh. 36000/-. Exact number
to be decided bases on the family status of employee and the number of children.
This allowance is paid once only to the employee during his employment with the
company. Payment of this allowance will be as soon as the employee gets the
accommodation.
Car Purchase
Loan : The employee is entitled to take a car purchase loan of Dh.
70000/- subject to the successful completion of the six months probationary
period. This loan is free of interest and it is to be paid back by the employee
on monthly equivalent installment within 48 months. In this case the car will be
mortgaged to the company.
Accompanied
Excess Baggage (upon initial arrival) : For candidates recruited from
outside UAE company shall reimburse them for a maximum of 60 kgs, per family for
Accompanied Excess Baggage.
Unaccompanied
Excess Baggage (upon initial arrival) : Single employees: Shall be
reimbursed for the maximum of 150 kgs as Unaccompanied Excess Bagge.
Married
Employees : Shall be reimbursed for the maximum of 300 kgs plus 50 kgs for
each child with a maximum of 500 kgs per family.
End of Service
Benefits : Employee is entitled for one month salary (Basic Salary
plus Supplementary allowance) for each year of service with the company. Any
year exceeding three years of service end of service shall be calculated based
on (1.5) month salary salary (Basic salary plus Supplementary allowance) for
each year exceeding three years of service.
Residence Visa
: The company bears the cost of residence visa fees, as well as other
related expenses for employee, wife and maximum of 4 children until 18 years of
age.
Life Insurance
: Employee is covered.
