Ministry of Electricity & Water in Electricity Distribution Directorate requires immediately :

The Ministry of Electricity & Water (MEW), Government of Bahrain is the authority responsible for providing electricity & water utility services in the Kingdom and owns facilities for the generation, transmission and distribution of water and electricity. The Ministry serves over 200,000 electricity & water customers. MEW is one of the biggest employers in the country, currently employing over 3600 personnel. The Ministry provides a professional working environment with state of the art Information Technology systems.

1.	Electrical Engineer (Maintenance & Operators / Distribution / Maintenance / Emergency Maintenance and Fault Repair):
	To attend faults and carry out emergency repairs and maintenance works in U/G and O/H and network. to rearrange the network in a most appropriate manner for safe operation of the system. To ensure that the fault repairs and maintenance works are carried out with proper levels of safety for the personnel and equipments.

2.	Electrical Engineer (Maintenance & Operators / Operations & Commissioning / Network):
	Inspect the plant and carry-out important pre-commissioning checks and test on distribution paint and primary substations according to established standards and specifications. Commission the distribution underground & overhead networks.

3.	Electrical Engineer (Maintenance & Operators /Maintenance & Cost Control / Maintenance Planning & Budgeting):
	Plan the preventive maintenance works. Assist the Senior Engineer in execution of PPM Work, and allocate and monitor the budget not only for PPM work but for other works.
	*For above candidates should have Degree in Electrical from reputed University with minimum 5 years of experience in the field.*

4.	Senior Electrical Engineering Technician (Construction / Contracts Control / Measured Term Contract Support):
	Assists in MTC contracts and contractors, control study system proposal of schemes with respect to material, labour content and drawings. Prepare material statement for the materials used to complete the job.

5.	Senior Electrical Engineering Technicians (Planning & Materials / Materials Management):
	Undertake evaluation and formulate order stipulations of tenders for electricity Distribution materials and equipment. Assist the Material Engineer in Stock control activities inspection and investigation for the suitability of materials and equipment including preparation of technical reports and correspondence.

6.	Senior Electrical Engineering Technician (Street Lighting / Maintenance / Planned Preventive Maintenance):
	Supervise major maintenance works, to assist the street lighting major works to engineer in the planning of maintenance programmers, ensures that the method and workmanship of EDD technicians staff and contractors staff meet the required standards and ensure that the safety procedures are strictly applied.

7.	Electrical Engineering Technician (Planning & Materials / Materials Management):
	Assist in the tender evaluation, stock control activities, inspection and investigation for the suitability of Electricity Distribution materials and equipment.

8.	Electrical Engineering Technician (Maintenance & Operations / Distribution Maintenance / Emergency Maintenance Fault Repair):
	Assists Sr. Tech. in locating HV/ LV cable faults. To carry out testing for LV Faults, spike and cut HV and LV cables, supervise and identify HV cables and repairs.

9.	Electrical Engineering Technician (Technical Support Services / Investigation and Performance Monitoring):
	Assist the Engineer on the field aspects and monitoring implementation of Procedures and guidelines in relation to Distribution system. To give the support in carrying out engineering audit at site.
	*For above candidates should have Diploma in electrical with minimum 5 years experience in the field.*

10.	Civil Engineering Technician (Construction / Civil Works) :
	Implement the construction and maintenance programmer for EDDs plants and buildings and assist in other Civil Engineering requirement. Ensure adherence of specifications, drawing and approved construction practices at EDD civil works. Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 5 years experience in the same field.

	Tax free salary negotiable depending on qualification / experience, two years initial contract renewable annually upon mutual agreement, free medical treatment in Ministry of Health Hospital, annual gratuity, housing allowance, etc.

	Candidates from Sr. No. 1 to 6 are only eligible of family status i.e. spouse and 3 dependent children below the age of 19 including travel ticket, educational allowance etc.
