SENIOR GENERATION ENGINEER (MECHANICAL)
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7-10 years of experience in large steam power plant. The incumbent will be required to have technical knowledge and expertise in the maintenance, design and plant engineering functions related to large steam power plant equipments, such as boilers, turbines and their auxiliary systems.
Core duties include:
Performing engineering studies for plant modifications to improve reliability, performance, maintenance ease and standardization
Plan, schedule and coordinate plant T&Is for rotating and stationary equipments to ensure reliable plant operation between turnarounds
Develop maintenance procedures for quality assurance and standardization.
Monitoring and trouble shooting of power plant rotating equipment
Budgeting and cost control studies
Technical support to operations for safe, reliable and efficient power generation.
The position requires the management of the human resources of the work group including mentoring and coaching of lower level engineers.
Exposure to power plant project engineering functions will be considered as added advantage.

SENIOR POWER PLANT OPERATOR
Higher Secondary School Certificate (12 Years) with
Technical Diploma plus 10 years related field experience
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 5 years related
field experience.
The Senior Power Operator will be required to operate
and direct the operation of a 400-600MW power generating
unit through DCS based consoles in line with company’s
Standard Operating Procedures. Core duties include
monitoring the operation of a power generating unit to
ensure reliable and efficient power generation,
performing the unit startups and shutdowns per assigned
targets, trouble shooting, effective response to
emergency conditions, and compliance to safety
procedures. Supervisory duties require supervision,
training, and directions to field operators in
performing their jobs.

FOREMAN, POWER PLANT OPERATION
Higher Secondary School Certificate (12 Years) with
Technical Diploma plus 13 years related field experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 7 years related
field experience.
Foreman will be responsible for the shift-based
supervision and direction of operators involved in the
monitoring, controlling and operation of the equipments
associated with two (2) power generating units each
having capacity of 400-600MW. Core duties involve
overseeing of efficient and reliable power generation,
providing technical guidance in diagnosing and trouble
shooting plant problems , field inspections to ensure
compliance to company’s safety regulations, and provides
leadership in first-line containment response during
emergency situation . The position requires implementing
CWPS (computerized work permit system) including field
isolation and tagging of equipment to facilitate
maintenance.

SHIFT IN CHARGE, POWER PLANT OPERATION
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical
Engineering with 8-10 years related field experience.
The Shift Incharge will be responsible to direct and
supervise the operational activities related to
1600-2500MW steam power plant provided with latest
information and control technologies. Core duties
involve reliable and efficient power generation,
supervision and direction of shift staff , supervision
of computerized work permit system, coordination of
maintenance activities, ensure compliance to company's
safety and environment protection policies, produce
incident and generation reports, ensure compliance to
SOPs in the performing all operational activities, and
training and development of competent staff. The
incumbent will also require coordinating with external
agencies in matters related to fuels and generation
level, provide technical expertise in equipment and
procedures modifications and provide leadership in
emergencies.

FOREMAN, I&C
Higher Secondary School Certificate (12 Years) with
Technical Diploma plus 13 years related field experience
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 5-7 years related
field experience. The foreman will be responsible for supervision and
direction of I&C technicians involved in installation,
maintenance, and trouble shooting of DCIS based control
system and equipment for 1600-2400MW steam power plant.
Core duties include:
Plan , schedule and supervise CM and PM on control
systems and related equipment
Direct and perform fault diagnosis and analysis of
control equipment with test devices
Maintain the power plant control systems such as
Automatic plant control, boiler combustion controls,
turbine control, burner management system, data
acquisition system, computer systems, and other
digital and electronic equipment.
Direct and carry out modifications to existing control
system including testing and commissioning to improve
reliability
Forecast, plan and coordinate the procurement and
stocking of spare parts.
Perform all the supervisory functions such as
providing guidance , expertise and training to
subordinate for skills upgrading
Maintain maintenance history

I&C SPECIALIST
Higher Secondary School Certificate (12 Years) with
Technical Diploma plus 17 years related field experience
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 7-10 years related
field experience. The specialist will be required for the direction of I&C
technicians and to provide specialized level of
expertise in installation, calibration and maintenance
of steam power plant control systems and associated
equipment.
Core duties include:
Ensure the effectiveness and scope of PM and CM
programs for reliable plant operation
Direct and perform testing of control systems for
optimum performance.
Propose control systems modifications for upgrading
and participate and supervision and direction in their
implementation
Provide the expertise in matters related to spare
parts stocking
Develop procedures for the periodic calibration
,testing and maintenance of test equipment
It is required to act as a source of technical expertise
and to contribute in the resolution of complex problems
and development of qualified I&C staff.
