Minimum Education and Experience Requirement Transmission Network Operator - 12 years schooling certificate with 2 years technical education plus 12 years experience. - Very good command of written and verbal English Language. • Very Good PC skills in related software. Duties & Responsibilities • Perform switching operations for the power transmission equipment pertinent to his area of responsibility up to 132 KV. Issue permits and carry out directives in order to maintain the transmission integrity and power configuration. • Record or reset relay targets. • Issue work permits, tags and clearances for use of his area of responsibility. Communicate through direct contact, in writing or via telephone or radio to coordinate his activity with other personnel. • Prepare, receive. Release outage schedule for submission to the Power Control Center scheduler. Coordinate with Power Control Center on all outages. • Isolate areas in the transmission system where problem exist by appropriate switching and control of power. • Perform shut downs for scheduled project executions. • Keep record of switching operations and load on transmission lines and transformers. • Review and make temporary and permanent updates to system dispatching drawings.
