A Government Utility responsible for supply of Electrical Power and Water includes generation, transmission and distribution in the city of Dubai and its suburbs invites applications for the following positions to be recruited immediately. They are looking for the following candidates:

1. Assistant Engineer(SWGR Commissioning) Ref#T&D-C/220/05

Degree in Electrical Engineering (7 years experience)

Foreman (SWGR Commissioning) Ref#T&D-C/227/05

Diploma/Trade Certificate  in Electrical Engineering (5/8 years experience)

Shall have experience in the switchgear field. Shall have experience in supervision of all works related to Site testing and commissioning of 400 / 132 kV GIS, 11 kV & 0.4 kV Switchgears, snag rectification works during warranty period and emergency works related to Switchgears and general substation equipment of 400/132 /11 kV Substations. Shall be familiar with IEC standards, test equipment and capable of studying Electrical Scheme drawings. Shall have computer knowledge, familiar with safety practices and proficiency in English (spoken and written).  Candidates with valid UAE driving license will be preferred.

2. Engineer (Protection Commissioning) Ref#T&D-C/221/05

Degree in Electrical Engineering (10 yrs experience)

Assistant Engineer (Protection Commissioning) Ref#T&D-C/228/05

Degree in Electrical Engineering (7 yrs experience)

Foreman (Protection Commissioning) Ref#T&D-C/229/05

Diploma in Electrical Engineering (5 yrs experience)

Shall have  experience in the protection field. Shall have experience in supervision of all works related to Site testing and commissioning of CTs, VTs and Various types of Protection relays and Tele-protection equipment in 400/132/11/kV substation, Supervision of snag rectification and emergency works related to above equipment in live substations. Shall be well conversant with different Protection schemes used in 400/132/11/kV systems. Shall be able to test different types of relays inclusive of Numerical relays used for differential protections. Shall be capable of reading electrical drawings and trouble shooting in control & protection circuits. Shall have adequate knowledge on substation digital control system. Must have proficiency in English (spoken & written) and computer skills. Preference will be given for the candidates having valid U.A.E Driving License.

3. Assistant Engineer (DC  System  Commissioning) Ref#T&D-C/222/05

Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (7 yrs experience)

Foreman (DC System Commissioning) Ref# T&D-C/230/05

Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (5 yrs experience) 

Shall have experience in supervision and witnessing of all works related to Site testing and commissioning of DC system equipment such as Batteries, Battery charger, UPS systems in 400/132 kV substations. Shall have adequate knowledge on DC load calculation/distribution, charging and discharging techniques/methods. Shall be capable of attending snag rectification and emergency works on the DC system equipment. Shall be capable of reading and commenting DC system drawings and schematics. Should be familiar with safety practices. Shall have proficiency in English (spoken & written) and computer skills.  Candidates with valid UAE driving license will

4. Engineer (Trafo Commissioning) Ref# T&D-C/223/05

Degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum 10 years experiences in the relevant field. Shall have experience in testing and commissioning of large capacity power transformers, shunt reactors, on load tap changers, Automatic Voltage Regulating Relays, trouble shooting of cooler control circuits and tap changer circuits of power transformers, erection of Power Transformers & Shunt Reactors. Shall be capable to scrutinize manufacturer’s drawings, factory test procedures and factory test reports related to Power Transformers & Shunt Reactors. Shall have Knowledge of routine and break down maintenance of 400/132/33kV power transformers and 132kV shunt reactors. Shall be well conversant with International standards, fluent in English, Shall have skills in technical report writing, Snag list preparation etc. Shall be computer literate & familiar with safety practices.  Candidates with valid UAE driving license will be given preference.

5. Engineer (Fire Protection System- Commissioning) Ref# T&D-C/224/05

Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering (10 yrs experience)

Foreman (Fire Protection System- Commissioning) Ref# T&D-C/231/05

Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering (5 yrs experience)

Shall have  experience in Design, Installation, Testing, Commissioning, and Trouble shooting of Fire Protection System. Shall be able to comment on drawings and documents of FPS as per fire codes. Shall have Field/ Factory Training or experience on testing, commissioning and trouble shooting of FPS. Shall have thorough knowledge and experience in programming of analogue addressable system.  Shall have proficiency in English (spoken & written), Computer skills and safety practices. Preference will be given to the candidates having valid U.A.E Driving License.

6. Assistant Engineer (Cable Commissioning) Ref# T&D-C/225/05

Degree in Electrical Engineering (7 yrs experience)

Supervisor (Cable Commissioning) Ref# T&D-C/232/05

Diploma in Electrical Engineering (5 yrs experience)

Shall have experience in all works related to Site supervision/ checking/ testing and commissioning of 132KV Transmission cable lines (Oil filled and XLPE). Shall have skill in supervision of cable installation.  Shall Have Knowledge in cable design, specification, testing procedure etc. as per international standards.  Shall be capable of commenting drawings & Checking As Built drawings, fault location and trouble shooting of 132kV cables system. Shall be familiar with safety practices, Maintaining records. Shall have computer knowledge and fluency in English. Preference will be given to the candidates having valid U.A.E Driving License.

7. Foreman (OHL Commissioning) Ref# T&D-C/226/05

Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Minimum 5 years experience in supervision of all works related to Site erection, testing and commissioning of 132 kV/ 400 kV Transmission Overhead lines. Shall be able to Supervise of snag rectification and emergency works related to above transmission OHLs. Shall be capable of reading/ checking electrical drawings related to Transmission Overhead lines. Shall be familiar with safety practices. Shall have computer knowledge and proficiency in English (spoken & written). Preference will be given to the candidates having valid U.A.E Driving License.
