A Government Utility responsible for supply of Electrical Power and Water includes generation, transmission and distribution in the city of Dubai and its suburbs invites applications for the following positions to be recruited immediately. They are looking for the following candidates:

1. Engineer – Distribution Planning  Ref# DPD/216/05

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 7 years experience out of which 4 years should be in MV distribution planning. Develop long and short term 11 KV distribution planning.  Look after the augmentation and special customer’s supply problems. Study distribution system by using computer model.  Conversant with international standards, specifications, safety regulations, latest developments in power distribution and computer skills.

2. Senior Site Surveyor Ref# DPD/217/05

Diploma in Civil Engineering/ Knowledge of advanced surveying

Minimum 7 years experience in surveying of road/ utility projects.  Study the preliminary proposals of cable route and furnish required information. Demarcate cable routes including levels as per NOC condition for departmental and contracts cable laying works.  Carry out measurement of thrust boring/ duct installation work done by contractors for installation of cables.  Ensure level and line of cable route as per NOC conditions.  To check the demarcation/ level given by contractors.  Must be able to use modern techniques in surveying (GPS).  Fluency in English Language is required.  Must possess valid UAE Driving License (Light Vehicle).

3. Senior Draughtsman Ref# DPD/218/05

Diploma in Civil Engineering

Overall 7 years experience of which minimum 5 years relevant experience in a reputed electrical organization. Previous work experience with a utility or a reputed design/ Drawing environment. Well experienced in AutoCAD/ Micro Station Drafting.  Familiar with: a) Electrical, single line & schematic diagrams.  b) Substation equipments, Cable network and layout drawings.  c) Standard legends and symbols.  d) Interpretation of Civil/Electrical drawings.  e) Preparation of layouts (plan/Elevation/Sections).  f) Quantity measurement of civil reinstatement jobs.  The applicant must have good command of English language, good organizational and computer skills.
