A Government Utility responsible for supply of Electrical Power and Water includes generation, transmission and distribution in the city of Dubai and its suburbs invites applications for the following positions to be recruited immediately. They are looking for the following candidates:

1.Assistant Fitter [TM] Ref# MNT/234/05

Qualification: Trade certificate - Mechanical (2 year course) / Secondary school

Must have 2 years (5 years for Secondary school candidates) hands on experience in erection or maintenance of equipment like Power/Distribution Transformers, good skill for mechanical repair/assembly works etc. The candidate shall be familiar with the safety practices and shall have good physique. Experience in the transformer erection works with a contracting firm or electric utility.

2.Assistant Technician [TM] Ref# MNT/235/05

Qualification: Secondary school

Must have 5 years experience as helper / technician in laboratory attached to large industrial / power / petrochemical plant. Shall be experienced in up keeping of the laboratory, cleaning and drying of test vessels / glass wares as per good laboratory practice”. The candidate shall be familiar with the safety practices and experienced in cleaning of precision instruments, handling of compressed gas cylinders, preparation of samples etc.

3.Technician [TM] Ref# MNT/236/05

Qualification: Trade certificate - Electrical or Mechanical (2 year course)

Must have 5 years hands on experience in maintenance of power / distribution transformer, good skill for mechanical repair / assembly works, knowledge to read electrical control circuit drawings, operation of transformer oil filtration plant etc. The candidate shall be familiar with the safety practices and shall have basic computer knowledge. Experience in the relevant field with a transformer manufacturing / servicing / contracting firm or electric utility.

4.Electrician [TM] Ref# MNT/237/05

Qualification: Trade certificate (Electrical / Electronics)

Must have 5 years hands on experience in control circuit wiring, trouble shooting of fault in control panels, maintenance and testing of transformers, motors, other electrical equipment etc. The candidate shall be familiar with the safety practices and shall have basic computer knowledge. Experience in the relevant field with a transformer manufacturing / servicing / contracting firm or electric utility.

5.Foreman [TRF] Ref# MNT/238/05

Qualification: Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (3 Year course)

Must have 5 years experience in maintenance / servicing of Power / Distribution transformers in any reputed manufacturing / service / contracting firm, knowledge to read electrical control circuits / excellent skill in mechanical maintenance, experience in operation and maintenance of transformer oil filtration plant etc. The candidate shall be familiar with the safety practices, proficient in English and shall have computer knowledge. Candidates having experience in operation & maintenance of any PLC controlled equipment.

6.Technician- Fire Protection System Maintenance [TSM] Ref# MNT/239/05

Qualification: ITI in Electronics Trade or equivalent

Minimum 8 years overall experience in fire detection and control panel maintenance work, Should have experience in repair, trouble shooting and maintenance of addressable and conventional fire control panel, all type of fire detectors, Fire alarms, pressure and flow switches, Fire pump control panels, control cable terminations etc. Shall be capable to read engineering drawings and to supervise small in house projects. Shall be conversant with safety regulations and procedure for working on electric equipment. Should be conversant in English language.

7.Electrician [TSM] Ref# MNT/240/05

Qualification: ITI in Electrician Trade

Must have 5 to 10 years experience in erection, commissioning and maintenance of substation equipments in a 400/132kV substation. He shall be conversant with control circuit of High Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear, Low Voltage AC Supply, Air Compressors, Diesel Generator sets, Transformers, Substation lighting, Overhead cranes etc. Possession of Computer literacy, Knowledge of safety etc. will be an added advantage.

8.GIS Fitter [TSM] Ref# MNT/242/05

Qualification : ITI in Fitter Trade

5 to 10 years experience in erection and maintenance of 400/132kV Gas insulated Switchgear , Transformers, Air Compressor etc. Shall be familiar with SF6 gas handling machine and procedure for GIS evacuation and gas filling. Possession of, Computer literacy, knowledge of safety etc. will be an added advantage.

9.Mechanic- Fire Protection System Maintenance [TSM] Ref# MNT/243/05

Qualification: ITI in Fitter Trade

Minimum 8 years overall experience in fire fighting equipments maintenance work, Should have experience in repair, trouble shooting, operation and maintenance of Diesel engine, firewater main pumps, jockey pumps, Deluge valve, Air compressors, Fire extinguishers, Carbon steel and UPVC piping and fitting, Valves (Gate, Check and butterfly etc), Sprinkler heads and spray nozzles.Shall be familiar to reset addressable and conventional fire control panel, all type of fire detectors, Fire alarms, pressure and flow switches, Fire pump control panels, control cable terminations etc. He shall be capable to read engineering drawings and to supervise small in house projects. He shall conversant with safety regulations and procedure for working on electric equipment. Should be conversant in English language.

10.Engineer Maint. – Trans. Cables [TLM/TCM] Ref# MNT/244/05243/05

Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering

Minimum 8 to 10 years experience in Operation, Maintenance and repairs of Transmission 132kV EHV cables (Oil filled and XLPE) and pilot cables. To ensure system reliability by maintaining/attending Transmission 132kV EHV cables (Oil filled and XLPE). Good command in cable design, drawing, specification, testing procedure of cable equipment, materials etc. as per international standard. Knowledge of cable design, specification, testing procedure of cable, equipment, materials etc. Preparation of technical comments, Checking of As Built drawings. Ensure standard safety procedures, fault location and trouble shooting of 132kV cables system, leading team during emergencies. Handling of turnkey projects, contractor, and consultants. Maintain records, correspondence. Fluency in English and Arabic both written and spoken. Computer knowledge.
