A Government Utility responsible for supply of Electrical Power and Water includes generation, transmission and distribution in the city of Dubai and its suburbs invites applications for the following positions to be recruited immediately. They are looking for the following candidates:

21.Sr.Electrician (Transmission Protection) [TPM] Ref# MNT/254/05

Qualification : Diploma / Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering

A minimum of 5 years in relevant field. To assist testing and commissioning job and to do the relay maintenance works. Carry out routine relay testing in (400/132 kV) system under the supervision of engineers. Shall have knowledge on electrical circuits and able to prepare connection for protection relay testing. Shall be able to Prepare and maintain test records. Monitor the condition of test equipments and test instrument periodically and to report any abnormality to the superiors. Organize the site work to its optimum utility in consideration of time factor. Experience in the reputed electricity supply organization is an added advantage. Shall be able to supervise the work as assigned by the superior and be able to work as group leader. Shall have knowledge on safety practices in electrical maintenance work. Shall have good communication ability in English Should have good health and be able to work at site for extended hours.

22.Senior Electrician (DC System) [TPM] Ref# MNT /255/05

Qualification: Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering

Shall have minimum 5 years experience in the relevant field. Shall be capable of supervising all works related to preventive and breakdown maintenance of Different types of Batteries, Battery chargers and UPS systems. Shall have experience in supervision of DC-related works like charging and discharging of batteries and repairing of electronics card PCBs. Shall be able to read electrical drawings of DC system equipment and troubleshooting. Shall have proficiency in English (spoken & written), safety practices and computer skills.

23.Foreman (Transmission Protection) [TPM] Ref# MNT/256/05

Qualification : Diploma/Trade certificate in Electrical Engineering.

5 years experience for Diploma holders or 10 years experience for Trade certificate holders in electricity utility in the related fields. Able to carry out job at site as a team leader. Shall have experience in carry out routine relay testing in 400/132 kV system . Shall have knowledge on testing of Electro- mechanical, static and numerical protective relays for Transmission System .Shall be able to read the protection drawings and carry out trouble shooting in protection circuits. Monitor the condition of test equipments and test instruments periodically and to report any abnormality to the superiors. Shall be able to write reports, and maintaining test records. Shall be able to supervise the commissioning and relay testing works. Shall be able to use computerized test equipments. Experience in the reputed electricity supply organization is an added advantage. Should have through knowledge of Safety practices and Computer literate. Shall have good communication ability in English.

24.Foreman (Transmission Protection) [TPM] Ref# MNT /257/05

Qualification: Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.

Shall have minimum 7 years experience in the relevant field. Shall be capable of supervising all works related to preventive and breakdown maintenance of Different types of Batteries, Battery chargers and UPS systems. Shall have experience in supervision of DC-related modification projects and emergency works in live substations. Shall be capable of supervising all DC-related works like charging and discharging of batteries and repairing of electronics card PCBs and modules, etc. Shall be able to read electrical drawings of DC system equipment and trouble shooting. Shall have proficiency in English (spoken & written), safety practices and computer skills.

25.Electrician – Condition Monitoring (PCCM) Ref# MNT/258/05

Qualification: ITI Trade Certificate.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience & possess an ITI Electrician trade certificate. Should have good working experience in 400kV & 132kV Transmission sub-stations & familiar with handling of Sf6 gas machine. Should be able to work with & also to trouble shoot control schemes associated with HV test equipment. Should have knowledge on various off-line & on-line diagnostic test equipment. Able to study 132 kV GIS interface assembly drawings & to perform the High Voltage test adaptor assemblies for GIS & cable testing. Should be knowledgeable on safe working practices in EHV sub-stations.

26.Foreman – Condition Monitoring (PCCM) Ref# MNT/259/05

Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering or ITI Trade Certificate.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience for Diploma & 8 years for ITI holders. Should have sound knowledge & working experience with the on-line & off-line diagnostic test equipment of 400kV & 132kV Transmission sub-stations. Should be able to conduct Partial Discharge Investigation & surveys at 400/132kV sub-stations using internal/external UHF PD couplers & portable monitoring equipment. Should be able to study 132 kV GIS interface assembly drawings & to perform the High Voltage test adaptor assemblies for GIS & cable HV testing. Able to handle/operate/Maintain 400/230/100kV HV test equipment involving conventional & resonance types. Should be knowledgeable on safe working practices in EHV sub-stations. Able to lead & motivate a group of technicians to accomplish the assigned tasks. and knowledge of computer applications is an added advantage.

27.Electrician [PDM +SDM] Ref# MNT/260/05

Qualification: 2 years Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institute.

Minimum 3 years experience in relevant field. Should have ability to assist repair, maintenance and trouble shooting of distribution substation equipment like 33 & 11-6.6kV switchgears/transformers/capacitor banks/Ring Main Units etc. preferably in public utility with knowledge of minimum safety. Should possess good health, energetic and able to work at site for extended hours.

28.Electrician– Energy Meter [SDM] Ref# MNT/261/05

Qualification: Trade Certificate in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (Two years course from recognized Institute)

Minimum 3 years experience on relevant field. Should have ability to assist, checking, repair and testing of energy meter activity with knowledge of safe working method. Should possess good health, energetic and able to work for extended hours. Knowledge of computer applications.

29.Senior Electrician [PDM +SDM] Ref# MNT/262/05

Qualification: 3 year Diploma / 2year Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering from recognized Institute

Minimum 5 years overall experience with minimum 3 years relevant experience with a utility or reputed electrical organization. Should have experience on repair, maintenance and trouble shooting of distribution substation equipment like 33 & 11-6.6kV switchgears/transformers/capacitor banks/Ring Main Units etc. preferably in public utility with knowledge of safety. Should have basic idea on ISO and Occupational Health & Safety. And knowledge of computer applications preferred.

30.Foreman – Energy meter [SDM] Ref# MNT/263/05

Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Three years course from recognized Institute)

Minimum 7 years overall experience with minimum 5 years relevant experience with a utility or reputed electrical organization. Should have experience in inspection, repair, testing and calibration of energy meters including knowledge of CT testing. Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management. Should have basic idea on ISO, knowledge of computer applications, safety and Occupational Health & Safety.
